Honoring Tradition

Creating a Legacy

Fuzion Martial Arts was founded with the mission to build a better community by teaching the values found in martial arts. Fuzion’s vision is to create passionate students and community members by teaching the modern application of traditional systems and styles.

The principals of Fuzion Martial Arts, Master Justin Revak, and Sensei Keith Cavallo, believe that a better spirit, mind, body, and community can be found through learning, practicing, and living the values found in martial arts.

The Fuzion System:

Kongo Ryu ©

The Fuzion Fighting System © (FFS) is a mixed martial art (MMA) referred to as Kongo Ryu (mixed style in Japanese). This system consists of the modern applications of Shotokan Karate, classical Taekwondo, Muay Thai Kickboxing, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Kongo Ryu also incorporates elements of Krav Maga and Kenpo. This forms a well-rounded structure that enables practical self-defense, competitive skills, and fitness. Founded by Master Justin Revak and further advanced by Sensei Keith Cavallo, the Fuzion System was developed on the philosophy that traditional martial arts gave us the foundation that should be learned and honored. Modern science and current needs created the desire to evolve on this foundation and take the best of “what works” to form a well-rounded system.

The Kongo Ryu system is a hybrid of many practical principles, characteristics, and movements of Karate-do and Taekwondo rather than just one specific style. The Kongo Ryu style allows students to learn the practical aspects of various traditional styles and synthesize them in a modern methodology that makes for a robust and effective self-defense system.

Fuzion Academies offers classes in traditional Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai Kickboxing, and Youth/Adult Mixed Martial Arts that combine both striking and grappling principles. Students can train and advance in all styles or focus on one style. As a building block, younger students begin in our youth martial arts program to learn basic striking and grappling or youth jiu jitsu to focus on grappling. Teenage and Adult students can train in adult martial arts during our Advanced and Family classes and/or train in Muay Thai Kickboxing and Adult Jiu Jitsu with their peers.

Our School

Crest

Fuzion’s Mixed Martial Arts system contains key principles of Karate, Kickboxing, and Jiu Jitsu symbolizing three points of our triangle crest. Each style is individually effective in many circumstances. When “Fuzed together” in an appropriate manner, the extremely robust and applicable system of Kongo Ryu is formed. The system offers a wide range of different approaches to varying combative and self-defense situations. It focuses on students to create and sustain a healthy and active lifestyle. It is the belief of the principals that the core values of this system will add value to local communities, personal development, and individual focus through dedicated practice in and out of the dojo.

Rank Advancement

Philosophy

At Fuzion, we believe that the quality of skills and values learned by a student is more important than the color of their belt. While rank and advancement are critical to growth, our commitment to our students is to never promote someone before they are ready and to ensure that the physical and life skills they learn can be used in a positive manner daily. Students should understand that everyone is on their own journey through the study of martial arts. The requirements and timeframes that we use are the minimum framework but may be modified based on a student’s growth, maturity, and readiness. Fuzion’s rank advancement philosophy is simply to enjoy the journey.
